Marcia Horn Noyes, a former television news reporter, newspaper and magazine journalist, writes about health, fi tness and career topics. Her broadcast work has appeared on CNN and ABC's Good Morning America; and printed work published by the Journal of Urgent Care Medicine, Denver Post, Enlightened Woman and Southern Living. She also is a past contributor to Chicken Soup to Inspire the Body and Soul. Her article, "You got this: Interviewing with confi dence," starts on page 44. Doug Ross (dougross. com) almost became an engineer, but switched majors to graphic design. Currently living in Santa Cruz, California, Doug continues to create award- winning illustrations for international corporations and major publications . He illustrated the cover of this issue, and the article starting on page 34. Kadi Tiede started her photography business in 2009 and hasn't stopped since. She's a recent graduate and photographs newborns, children and families. When she's not behind the camera, you can fi nd her waiting in line for her third Chipotle burrito of the week, listening to her favorite song on vinyl or having a Jennifer Lawrence movie marathon. Her photo of Jerry Brewer, M.D., is on page 17. Don Tracy ( is a photographer and video producer based in Philadelphia. He is a long- time contributor to Getty Images. His photo of Steven Fassler, M.D., is on page 37 . Contributors 14 | SUMMER 2014 Julie Austin ( is an award-winning photographer who specializes in capturing the special relationships between people and pets. Her subjects have ranged from dogs to pigs, cats to snakes. Find her portrait of Gary Chimes, M.D., and his dog on page 39. Meghan Doll ( is based in Minneapolis, where she specializes in professional, baby, child and family photography. She loves working with people and putting them at ease in front of the camera. She has a BFA in Photography from the University of Minnesota and has also lived, studied and worked in New York and Italy. Meghan's portrait of Matthew Palmer, D.O., is on page 45. Angela Gottsch (ellabellaphotography. com) has been photographing families and children in Omaha, Nebraska, since 2006. Angie spends most of her time with her husband and four teenage children. Check out her photo of Ryan Becker, M.D., and his family on page 82. James Kegley ( is based near Annapolis, Maryland, and has been a photographer since the mid-90's. He serves editorial, institutional and corporate clients in the D.C. area and throughout the world. His portrait of Brooke Buckley, M.D., is on page 54.
