In fact, there seems to be an inverse correlation between the money specialists make and career satisfaction. In their annual physician compensation survey, MedScape compiled statistics from more than 24,000 physicians in 25 specialties. "The least likely to choose medicine again (plastic surgeons, orthopedists, radiologists, anesthesiologists) were also among the top earners," according to the survey.
