What’s your advice for residents who are beginning their job search?

This is an important part of the rest of your life. Think deeply about what you want do and learn to be flexible; you might find a pleasant surprise.

How did you find your job?

I applied to jobs through PracticeLink. One day, my future regional medical director saw my CV there and called me and talked to me into interviewing in Central Florida. The rest is history!

Anything particularly unique about your job search?

I came to interview from a very large city, New York. My wife and I arrived on a Sunday and the town was quite dead. We were wondering if we had made the right decision in coming here.

The next day, I went to the interview. Once I met the people where I now work, I knew this was the place.

How did PracticeLink help you in your physician job search?

My CV was visible, and employers called me. I could also see what was there in the market and compare the jobs that were available.
