What was the most important factor in your search for a new job?
I had some very specific career goals in mind. Although my visa restricted me to certain geographic areas, I still wanted to find the kind of job I wanted to do.

Any other advice?
Start looking early. For J-1 folks specifically, know your options, don’t be afraid to look at big cities, and keep your DS-2019 and USMLE transcripts!
